Ascent with the Gletscherexpress to the mountain station at 2.840 m. From there you climb up over the Mittelbergferner to the Mittelbergjoch at 3.166 m. The path continues over the Taschachferner up to the foot of the Brochkogel. From there, the last stretch over the west ridge to the summit of the Wildspitze.
The descent is via the same route down to the Gletscherexpress and further into the valley.
Requirements: Mostly ice and snow tour, good physical condition, sure-footedness, appropriate mountaineering clothing, shoes suitable for use with crampons, sunglasses and sun protection, rain protection, drinking bottle, hat and gloves if necessary
